Gamecube! I have mine on Reserve!
But seriously, They're both good, I prefer the Gamecube because I prefer Nintendo's in house support (Can anyone say Super Smash Brothers Melee?) and It's $100 less than an X-Box. It can't play DVDs, but I already have a DVD player so that doesn't matter. It's mostly a matter of preference.

I have to run to class, do I really don't have time to copy and paste raw data, but if you do a search on yahoo or google, there's about 2 or 3 dozen web sites with side by side comparisons. Of course, I'm going with GameCube. Better games, better game company.
By the way, Microsoft released X-box to 5 retail stores within 10 miles of their headquarters to promote their new system and 3 out of the 5 have crashed already. Get it? Microsoft....crashed? Geez, what else is new

No matter what people say, they both preform just about the same, and they both ahve their ups and downs. Same goes with the PS2, so if you already have seen the detailed graphics of the PS2, expect very similar quality from the Xbox and Game Cube.
I however am getting an Xbox. I hear it has some kind of nVida chip similar to the GeForce3. And plus i just do'nt really like the games Nintendo produces, a bit kiddy

I'm following the first rule of buying microsoft: Never buy Version 1.0.
I'll probably get game cube, and once all the bugs in x-box are worked out (which we all know it WILL have, its from microsoft afterall) I might pick up an x-box later on down the line.Comment

ya right! ATI blows, i've owned a few of them and they had no chance of compeating against other cards around the same price range. I meen the Rage Fury Maxx was just pddd. The drivers just total sucked big ones. What i liked about it was it has 64mb RAM and a dual GPU. But you couldn't even use the dual GPUs if you have an NT based Os such as Windows NT, Windows 2k, and Windows XP.Originally posted by Tbone
The ATI Radeon 8500 will kick the GeForce 3's you-know-what any day of the week.Comment

YOu are definitely right on that one. I have yet to see ATI release a graphics card in which their drivers work right. IN fact did you see the ATI optimized Quake3 engine. They recompiled it to work just with the Radeon cards. While I haven't heard of it being more stable you do lose about 20% performance. LOL
As for all the new gaming consoles, if you check the side by side specifications the XBOX is what is on top. While I hate Microsoft more than anything, I may be buying one. I think M$'s software is some of the worst garbage out there, but Microsoft has proved again and again that they make the best hardware (controllers, mice and the like).
Besides the Graphics chip in the XBOX is what the Geforce3 is based on, except for the Geforce3 is toned down version of it. And the sound chip it comes with does true Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and has been touted as the currently the best sound chip available in any channel.Comment

Their all good. All of them have good graphics, one might have better graphics but it would be hard to tell the diffrence. It all depends on what games you like to play. If I had the money I would get the ps2 because it has Final Fantasy games on it and those are my fav. games.Comment

X-box has some pretty good looking games for release but I don't see any really good ones in the future...yet... Nintendo's game development isn't going that far either, they need a new original game...The only reason I want gamecube is for waverace, I dunno but I love that game for some reason.
