I wrestle for Flat Rock High School in Michigan, 172 class, we had two state champs this year...again...

Im in the 172 class, so as you can see, I realy didnt have a chance with a fighting senior taking states

I wrestled my sophomore year...
won my very first 2 matches.... then I never won again.
I didn't find it THAT fun, so I didnt do it the next year.

3 years in highschool, something about a broken sternum, collar bone and ribs kept me from going back for that 4th year of doom.Comment

I put in 4 years on my highschool team. Started off at under 185, ended up at under 209. No major injuries at the time, but I don't think its done anything good for my knees in the long run...Usually around. Usually silent.Comment

I wrestled. Just not the normal high school wrestling. I used to do "hardcore matches" with my friends all the time. We used everything from thumb tacs to light bulbs. I managed to avoid the bulbs but the tacs got me once or twice. Ah the days of sitting around watching Stranglemania.Sorry, I'm oldComment

But you do get to beat opponents with sticks in Hockey
I did the wrestling thing in public school and early highschool, but I lost interest after that. I have to say I found a lot more sports that I would consider well beyond it on the badass scale.
I have participated in and lost friends to these ones:
Extreme skiing/boarding
Base jumping
North Shore Mtn Biking
If your school/university lets you do it, it isn't badass
