Just buy a long cable that plugs in... When you're done playing, throw it in a closet. Easyest and only costs about 5 dollars. There are no good games out for x-box live Can't wait for HALO2 but send my a PM if you have Unreal Championship!

              No good games?

I'd have to argue that one of the games to get for Live would be MechAssault. The single-player is basically worthless, but the multiplayer is where its at. And they've already updated the content once on it, and there is scheduled to be another release with 2 more mechs, CTF, and some more maps in April.

I'm not under the alkafluence of inkahol that some thinkle peep I am. It's just the drunker I sit here the longer I get...

What you want is a small router.. it only needs to have 2 output plugs.. one for your computer and one for the xbox.
I wouldnt get wireless though, I'll tell you something right now. I have a wireless hub (still has eathernet outputs) and one of the outputs goes to another eathernet hub, so there is enough plugs for all the computers I have in my house.. well, I got a laptop, and I wanted wireless.. so I bought a wireless card..
Windows XP home shows the status of the connection, and you can only get 5 bars if you hold the laptop right up to the antenna. The more walls you are trying to connect through the worse the connection gets.. and think of this.. 1 wall = 1 bar.. Now, I have a 22 mbps card, and Its hard to go through the bottom layer of my house and still have a decent connection.. its probally worse for upstairs..
Well, I was bored, so I ran a internet speed test. It diled in at about 200 kbps.. not bad really.. but I have ADSL..
I ran the same test on my computer, with a wired connection, and I got about 1000 kbps.. The wireless thing is really a bottleneck and you need alot of bandwith to play online with xbox.
                  Plus, wireless is HELLa expensive.

Bah... wireless works just fine. The problem I see most often with people trying to use wireless is that they leave their PC on (while running Kazaa or other file-sharing apps) and it sucks the bandwidth. I play MechAssault all the time with zero problems.

Well, my current setup is a Wireless 4-port Router. On that, I have 2 computers, an X-Box and a PS2 connected to the router. Also have a laptop that uses the wireless connection. I have the cable modem in the living room connected to the router with the 2 computers and 2 game systems. This works out for me very well.

Well, whatever floats your boat. But IMO anything wireless doesnt work as well as a wired connection (mice, ect)

if your going wireless then you better hope that nothing in your house will interfear with it. And someone in the house next to you can leech your connection

Why not run some rj45 thru the venting in your house? then put the plastic wire concealers on it and run it along hte baseboards to your xbox.
