    Metallica

First off, I hope that Metallica will re-define themselves now that they've acquired Rob Trujillo. Secondly--what gives? They get Trujillo from Ozzy, and it turns out that Ozzy will be acquiring Jason Newstead...Oh well, best of luck to both bands.

With Trujillo on board, Metallica should be rejuvenated and able to reach back to their roots as one of the pioneers of true metal.

I wouldn't expect such a significant change. I imagine they will sound relatively similar...unless they finally realized that their old stuff is better.

WHAT!!!!?!?!?!?! They got Rob Trujillo? OMG! My friend is related to him some how(Spencer Trujillo)! Ozzy got Jason! Jesus that is going to suck BALLLLLS!!!! Rob is the man. As for what you said, rob trujillo isnt going to help them get back to their speed metal roots, nothing will. I wouldnt classify Rob as a speed metal guy anyways, oh well that is just me. But, Jason Newsted sucks and he should get his head out of his....oh well. Thanks.

ok i could argue about this all nite, cause i am like the ultimate metallica fan. im gonna keep it short and to the point. them getting rob may infelunce them to be a bit heavier than hey are now, ozzy getting newstead is unbeleivable. either way i think there gonna sound just as good as they did b4.

Don't get your hopes up too much, guys. Trujillo joined too late to have any part of the next album. IIRC, Bob Freakin' Rock handled the bass on that one. I'm already preparing for massive denial this summer.
