Is there a height restriction for military?

Is there a height restriction for entering the military? In any branch..? I was told there was one, and I cant seem to find whether this is true or not on any sites.

im 6'3 and some change, almost 6'4.. and I still have atleast two years to grow..

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.

I believe so, certain things you cant do if your too tall (ie. Subs...), but other than that im not too sure.

I don't think that height should effect you at all. That is not a abnormal height an more you should be fine.

                A standing height of 64 (5' 4") to 77 (6' 5") inches and sitting height of 34 to 40 inches.

At least thats what one Air Force ROTC program FAQ says about pilot/navigator candidates. It might vary for certain airplanes, but I haven't heard anything specific before.

im in the marine corps, im 6'5" and there is no problem. as far as generally, height doesnt matter as long as your weight is within standards for you height, like my max weight i can be is 245. certain jobs like pilots and such have other requirements for height.

to fly in the air force you have to be shorter then some thing like 5'8" not positive though. To be in a sub it's the same. For infantry and general staff there is no limit. My uncle is in the army he told me, he knows EVERYTHING, I just can't remember ANYTHING... so that's why it's "5'8" I THINK"

dub- pm me or catch me on aim at gainman00, ill give you some good advice on which programs to go through and what to do to become a pilot.

max height for pilot is DEFINATELY more than 5'8", cause i was in afrotc on track to be a pilot, signed the scholarship papers, and then had it taken away due to citizenship reasons

anyways, i was still about 6'3" 6'4" at the time, and i was qualified to fly as a pilot. anyway, wish i stuck through it, really wanted to fly (i still will). but i love the corps either way hoorah, and ill be killing camel jockies soon enough

If the Air Force ROTC wants it's pilot/navigator candidates to meet certain height restrictions (these candidates go on to be actual pilots and navigators), wouldn't the Air Force's be about the same?
