    Best wireless provider?

looking to get a cellphone... need to know who has the best plan (i.e. i'm cheap and want the best deal)

-who is the best in your opinion
    -whats their website
-do i get free nights and weekends
-how much does it cost a month

Perhaps asking for people's opinions on their current cell phones would be better than asking people to do all the research for you

Check out alltel, cingular, at&t, verison

Different areas will have different deals and offers also.

I like alltel. Enough minutes for me at the right price.

i am doing research. but it helps to get others opinions. everything i'm asking, someone should know off the top of their heads, if they are using that plan. the problem with my research is that im doing it on a computer so slow its taken me 1 hour to go through one site

If you've got a slow computer take a trip to the mall. Each mall where I live has stores or stands for all the major wireless providers. Or check the Sunday newspaper.

maybe by you but here in nj tmobile stinks. still it's got the cheapest plan available. i only use my cell occasionally so i got the 60 anytime minute 500 weekend minute plan for $20. it serves my needs. just wish it would work inside of buildings. or near trees. or anywhere other than on major roads.

I have Sprint PCS and I like it. I get 300 anytime minutes (not a whole lot, but I'm at work most of the day anyways) unlimited nights and weekends, free long distance. Nights start at 9 (right when I get off work) All for $27 a month.
                Suits me perfectly.

Testify! As soon as I get around to it, I'm cancelling my T-Mobile account and going to Verizon. My dad has it, and I've never seen him not have service. I might also be able to get a killer discount on an LG phone because my friend's dad's company works with LG. In summary, go with Verizon, they have the best coverage, both from my personal experience, and IIRCa Consumer Reports article from a motnh or two ago.

yeah i saw that consumer reports article too. i don't think nextel was part of the testing though. i think they covered verizon, sprint, at&t, and cingular.

well in the past year i have used sprintpcs and tmobile. i cant tell much difference between the two. price, reliability, customer service is good for both. personally i dont care too much for nokia phones and i know tmobile and cingular are big nokia users. i have a nokia and i hate it, but its not tmobiles fault. i would deffo shop around and find a plan that best meets your needs as most companies have similar service but vastly different plans. also, check with your employer because they sometimes have discounts. i have 800 anytime, unlimited night/weekend, and unlimited tmobile to tmobile minutes, 500 text messages and 2 phones sharing the minutes. i pay 75 bucks a month. if you do go to the mall to get a phone, dont go to the "tmobile store", stick with a kiosk because they will always offer better deals like free handsfree kits, or an extra battery etc.

Here in Colorado AT&T is the only good one in my opinion. It gets service pretty much all over the mountains, and is great in the cities. Sprint just plain sucks out here, its like night and day between sprint and AT&T... so that would be my offical reccomendation.
Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

For me, it's all about Verizon. I get coverage just about everywhere. On a camping trip, I was the only one that could make calls while everyone was having no luck. I go to school in a building that might as well be a lead box and I get coverage in there too. Maybe it's the phone but Verizon had been really good to me. 40 bucks a month for 600 anytime minutes + FREE Nights and Weekends.
