    Pyrotechnic

That has got to be one of the best jobs! I love the idea of lighting stuff on fire and blowing stuff up and getting paid. Making napalm and putting it on matchbox cars is fun! Anyone else here a Pyro?

Being a pryotechnic is a very, very precise job. You don't set anything on fire, you place fireworks in the exact spot, and lite them off at the exact time, with exact precision and exact specifications for those fireworks.

Being a pyro doesnt mean you run around with lighters. They use some very advanced chemistry and math.

lol, just because you own a lighter and a few m80's doesn't make you a pyrotechnic.

Just don't go lighting forest fires like a moron, my friend did that, keep everything under control and don't be stupid.

I love blowing stuff up. I know how to make a nuclear bomb too, It's just a little tricky to get the materials Not to mention I'm to stupid to be able to put it together. But I do know some physics majors who are doing a research with fusion and stuff, and they said they could actually build one. My friend made a pipebomb and we blew that thing up. hehehe We could have died. That was stupid.

Listen to this idea that I overheard once. Take a lightbulb, boil it in water so that the glue comes undone, carefully pull the glass off (without damaging anything inside). Fill the glass part with gasoline, put it back onto the lightbulb with some epoxy or something. Then put it into a lamp, and when someone turns it on, BOOM!

Yeah, I understand what you people mean about lighting stuff. I am a wicked pyro, I light everything on fire. I have made some dangerously explosive things that could do some damage. nothing too big but equally dangerous. Just noting that I am a proud pyro. For some fun, take a plastic film canister and fill it with triple F pyrodex...black powder is too dangerous. drill a hole in the cap, and stick whatever fuse is used, preferably cannon-type. light it and run like hell, its not going to toss much fragmentation out but it can be heard over a mile away. Just to note, when you select a wick fuse, take a hefty length (atleast 4 inches) and test light it to see how fast it burns to allot yourself enough time to safely get out of harms way
This Event Really Did happen On the West Coast Of The U.S.A. In WWII the Japanese Constructed Balloons With Bombs On Them. They Would Float Them Into The U.S.A. Through The Pacific Airstream That Crossed The pacific.

"A little while after WWII, some kids on a fieldtrip discovered an unexploded bomb. They threw rocks at it until they got some real results." <-- The Moral? DO NOT THROW ROCKS!

We use black powder on those little film canister things. It's not that dangerous. They are pretty loud though.

we lost a Student here at Clemson University this August. He was about to return to school this fall as a Senior and Graduate. He was on his last week of work at this Fireworks Factory and had worked there each Summer to help put himself through school. He was employed in this Fireworks factory in the middle of the State of SC. SC is one of the few states they are still legal to purchase Fireworks. Anyway...something went wrong and the work area he was in blew up. Killed him and another fellow. Tragic end to a fine young man at the beginning of his Adult life.
