    Paypal temporary credit cards?

Anyone know anything about these? I remember someone saying that you can get a temporary credit card number using your paypal account and then use the card number to order stuff online.

Anyone know how/where i do this at? and whats its official name, i can't seem to find anythingon the paypal page.

Last I heard, and this was a while ago, legal action was being taken against paypal since they aren't actually a bank.

      It's called vdebit.

I found the link for omni a few days ago, but I'm too lazy to go get it again.

Most credit card companies offer that option. I use it with my Citibank Mastercard for any online purchaces.

well i did a search on paypal's site for "vdebit" and didnt' find anything....you sure thats what its called?

i found something called a Debit Bar, it says you can use paypal money towards purchases that accept master card ( i think)

BUT with the debit bar thing you need to register a credit card....

              As I posted before:

              1. Click the 'Shop' Tab at the top
              2. On the right hand side will be a 'Shop Anywhere' hyperlink
              3. Enter the store URL
              4. BUY BUY BUY!

              Works great.

I was looking all over the paypal site, but I don't see a "shop" tab for this thing. Any help would be appreciated.

You can just order a debit card from them. Mine works for ATM's Online orders, and of course the standard swipe and sign terminals.
Money is removed directly from your pay pal account.

That's pretty cool, but I'm just looking for something quick and easy for online purchases only.

If this is the paypal debit card I would not use it. Your money isnt insured like it is in the bank. They also say they invest it and you could lose money.

Yep but its faster to get the money out of the ATM after I make ebay sales than to wait 3-4 days for a bank account transfer.
