    No, its not. It hasnt been since the national drinking age went to 21. Anyone that tells you differently is lying to you. They fall under the same laws as the rest of the country. Drinking age included.
    And before you tell me I'm wrong, I just got off of active duty last October. so, its not what "someone told me", or "my Delta force friend"...drinking age is 21. Period.

          amen! y in the world did u think that was true, the way that the military is set up there isnt a need for a draft. ulness something really huge hapens ex. nuclear war and even than we would all die because of fall out. dont worry about the draft.

            They wont reinstate the draft... we have MORE than enough rednecks and patriototic people joining every day. The draft will only happen if we go to war with like ... all of Europe or something ..lol

              Other countrys, yes often have low drinking ages. Korea for instance had a 20 yr and over limit.

              Also in Louisiana, they enforced their right as a free state and declined to accept the national drinking age of 21. In responce to this they were written out of the national freeway support act and receive no federal funds to repair their roads. this may have changed is the last few years without my knowledge but years ago when I lived in florida we always went to Louisiana to party

              All military bases conform to the drinking laws of the host location, although local commands reserve the right to impose additional restrictions. Oh and Shartly said, the blind eye is a prevelent thing but the first time something goes terribly wrong that all goes out the window
