    Old School Atari games

I got this email from thinkgeek.com. It had a link for an old style Atari controller w/games. Man does it bring back memories of my first console!

Pretty neat but War? isn't on there I think it was called War, the cartridge that came w/ the Atari.

Not war, it was Combat. Man that rocked, loved the tank battles.

Combat! Tanks were cool, especially when they were invisible and had bouncing shots. I liked the bi-planes best because my brothers couldn't fly them good! Up and down turned and right and left controlled speed!

i still have my atari 2600 (i think it was a 2600). every once in a while i hook it up and play the classics: pacman, donkey kong, combat, space invaders, centipede, missile command, pelle's soccer, and so on. i had a friend that worked at goodwill for a while and people would dump all their old atari stuff. he collected all the good games i didn't already have. my controllers dont work well any more so ill have to pick up some new ones. ebay maybe?

Atari was the shiznit. Way better than most of the super realistic games out there now. I personally think Mortal Combat is where video games peaked.

The plane battles were better. When you were stuck with the huge bomber and the other guy got the smaller maneuverable planes. Man that was hard!!!
