    This Sucks

    This afternoon while playing basketball I went up for a lay up and came down wrong and dislocated my knee.

    I just got back from the emergency room where they popped it back in, took x-rays, wrapped it up and sent me home. I have an appointment with the orthopedic doctor tomorrow. So I will see how bad it is. The doctor said it looked like a clean dislocation and no damage (well not too much), but he wasn't for sure. I just hope it turns out fine. Looks like I will be out of action for a while.

    I will keep you all updated as I find out more.

      Well, hope it heals ok, and there isnt any long term damage. Just take it easy on the leg. Get well soon bro.

                          That sucks! It's one thing to do it in the Fall/Winter when you can afford to sit around and do nothing, but in the spring/summer it sucks!

                                  I just got a call and my appointment isn't until Monday. Now I have to wear this wrapping all weekend and wait for my brace.

                                      Are you sure it was dislocated? After all, that was just the Doctor's opinion. You may want to check the x-rays yourself.

                                              i got that weird lump crap on my knee.. ostenschlagers or somethin like that... i HATE it... if i drop down in a slide in the wrong way, i'm overcome in pain for the next minute or two... so i just lie down and shoot out the side of my bunker laying on my side

                                                          Several years ago one of my friends was playing basketball, he jumped up to slam dunk the ball and his ring got caught in the net. He only has 4 fingers on his left hand now.... It's wierd though, you would never notice that he only has 4 fingers on one hand unless you really looked.

                                                          Sucks about your knee though, just showing you that it could have been much worse :)
