    "Gettysburg" the movie

Okay, I was watching the movie the other night, and it reminded me of a rumor I heard once that in one scene you can see a pickup driving in the background. Does anybody know if this is true, and if so, when in the movie?? Thanks!!

PS if you haven't seen it, go rent it, even if you have just the slightest interest in any kind of war-type thing. Or even just history. It's a great movie!

Yes, it is a great movie.

I have never seen a pickup in the backround, of any scene of the movie, I have seen it like 10 times.

Also if you like Gettysburg, I suggest going out and seeing "Gods and generals" AWESOME movie.

I saw Gettysburg but I don't remember a pickup truck. Doesn't mean it wasn't there however...

Anyway, In Ben Hur, in the famous chariot race scene, a chariot slams into a Roman soldier. Only it wasn't a stunt, and the extra actually died!!

ooh ooh where's the car in LOTR??

slipknot - I heard Gods and Generals was pretty good too, but REALLY long and well, not that exciting... of course, this is just coming from film critics, who i seem to disagree with about 90% of the time.

The movie is 4 hours, after 2 hours, you get a 15min intermission.

The movie has some exciting parts, but most of the movie, is the armys making tatics.

                  Great movie

It is a great movie. You can't see any trucks in it because there are none. The editing mistake is that you can see tire tracks in the grass during one of the battle scenes.

I beg to differ on that one. When they are panning the valley. If you look at the top 1/4 of the screen you can see a pickup going by for there is an highway there now. I have seen the truck everytime I have seen the movie.

I don't have my copy with me but it is if I am not mistake right before the actually battle starts when they are panning the valley showing how peaceful it is before the battle takes place.

But if you have ever seen the movie you know what I am talking about. There is only one time I can remember where you see the valley panning like they did.

I believe the tire tracks are in the scene before the giant cannon barrage. The only reason I noticed them was because it was pointed out during the commentary on the movie when it made it's cable debut.

I can't remember the scene CB is commenting on, but the tire tracks are there.
