    Australia!

I'm in Taiwan right now, but I've got nothing to do in about a month, so I figure Australia would be a pretty good bet since it's in the same part of the world. So, anyone know any good websites, resources, etc? Or..anyone here Australian, and willing to hook me up with a job?

I can speak with a good Aussie accent. I've had several genuine Aussies tell me I could trick anyone in Australia.

I spent two weeks bouncing between Cairns and Sydney. I loved it! You'll definitely need to get a work visa in order to live there and you can only stay for 12 months at a time (with a work visa--I believe.) You can stay for up to 6 months on a tourist visa I believe. I've heard it's extremely difficult to become a citizen outside of marrying one.

I would definitely love to go back and stay a lot longer. Hell I'd even live there! The people are very friendly and and the women are HOT! Beware of everything there however...it seems that Austrailia has one type of EVERYTHING that is deadly. They even have a tree that can kill you!

Anyway, I just went on the web and looked up hostels to stay at while I was there. They are inexpensive and traveller friendly.

Anyway, I'll shut up now. Have fun down under, mate!

I cant believe that it would be overly expensive to stay down there... Depends on how long you plan to stay for I guess...

Being an Australian, I can most definitely say that it the best place to live in the world. I'm in Brisbane, been here all my life. When are you planning on coming over Wang? Round 2 of our APPL series is right here in Brisbane on May 18 & 19th. If you can, you should come and check out some local ball. and you can come out and hit the town all weekend. I'm gonna be off work the week before and the Monday following to recover.

                  But yeah, Oz rocks!!!!

Last day of school is may 23 for me, it's already a pretty sure thing that I'm going..I was actually planning on going to sydney, because everyone I know here is from there..

I'm really looking forward to playing some real paintball, I gave it a go here, but playing with all first timers and shooting rubbery taiwanese paintballs out of a rental rebel just isn't quite the same as back home

Anyway, got another question..I'm taking a bartending course now, in hopes of working at a bar/club..Realistically, how are my chances at getting a job like that? I'm 18 (and look 15) if that makes any difference.

You're chances of getting a Bar job here are BAD, VERY BAD!!!! But that's only because I'm looking for some weekend bar work too. hehehe. It shouldn't be too hard, if you stay at a backpacker's hostel with a bar attached, you should be able to get some work there to help pay for your accomodation. Have a look at employment sites before you actually get here, and see what there is.
