Will the Corvette ever be done?

Well, over the winter my dad and I started to take the Vette apart to finish the restoration to our satisfaction. So, we have been plugging away at it slowly but shortly, and now we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! ! I just wanted to share our progress and hard work with everyone.

This is how she is now. Poor thing... hehe

Drivers side front suspension rebuild. Before.

This is what the passenger side looks like done. I think it's worth the time/effort. :) Those shrouds are not painted either, thats cadmium plateing.

The rear has been rebuilt with the original 3.73's that it came with. Leafs have been bead blasted and colored to original (those are the original 67's leafs, they are so strong they have barely sagged over the years) and the short shafts have been redone. The green stripes denote HiPo short shafts, they each weigh about 30lbs!! ! ! The walls are that thick!

Another angle, passenger side rebuild of suspension and installation of the Through the frame exhaust. No more sidepipes

Last pic. Refreshed the bell houseing and oil pan. Replaed every seal in the Munsey tranny and the rear main seal on the motor too. Thats also a new old stock starter. Meaning, it's from 67 but was never used! The original starter is shot and can't be rebuilt.

        You're my hero

My dad and uncle restored a vette very similar to that one (i'll have to check what year). They had to sell it though...

        Keep up the good work!
