i had a 120 gigger, noticed windows was taking up like 20 gigs. i then noticed i had stuff saved to desktop from previous installations. (XP makes a folder for all users)

sooo thats where my issue was

        Check your temp folder.

My roomy ran out of HDD and found 4 gigs of space in his temp folder. Each time his computer crashed during a cd burn, it was dumped in the temp folder.

        Run the disk cleanup utility.

        Good luck!

Run a search for files that are really big. That happened to me once. It turned out that my sister was using some program and saved a couple files that took up almost a gig each.

Have you even looked at the drive to see what is taking up space? That's how you fix it. Take a look at the disk used by different folders and look for something that's not normal.
