I live right next to a free field, wich 30+ people go to regularly on Saturday. Not only that, but the local authoities are alright with it. Go me

I think all this talk of "outlaw field's" is ridiculous. Sure, you shouldn't go play in your backyard 20 ft. from you neighbor's house. But if you've got the space, the friends, and the initiative, there is absolutly nothing wrong with throwing up a a few bunkers. Why play with a bunch of cheating, annoying strangers, pay a field fee, and get overcharged on air/balls when you and 10 of your best friends can do it for way less money and have twice as much fun. It's expensive enough as is. Any cut of price should be welcome.
I have 2 fields, one of them is on my propety. The only neighbor nearby plays with us, so I'm sure he has no problem. The other is at a friends house, in a woods. He owns a bit of the woods, but we have permission from the neighbors to use the rest. They told us how far we could go, and we threw up some ribbon so we know how far to go. If you think there is something wrong with that, your nuts.

Anyways, that's just my 2 cents.

I agree with going to play on acres that your family owns, with no neighbors. But a chrony is required, get one of those handheld radar chrons.
My grandfather owns 50 acres on top of a mountain. In the late 80's, at the beginning of my pb career, we used to get a few guys and go up there to play.

This is how the sport started guys, and now people are laughin at it. As long as everything safe, (chronos, deep in the woods away from where people could get shot, people know not to take masks off ect..) and it's all your property, nothings wrong with it. It might be a good idea to tell your neighbors whats going on first, but it's not illegeal.
