I don't know if I would've had the courage to cut my arm off. Unless it was numb from being under that heavy boulder for five days but even then, I probably would've passed out. That was a very courageous thing for him to do and I'm glad he survived.

The viens had probably callapsed by that time so there wouldnt have been any blood loss or feeling it also would have been dead and wouldnt have any chance for re attachment at that point
