    I'm Getting A Non-bad Computer!!!

wow sorry for putting that in all caps, but I just got SUPER-excited all of a sudden...

Some of you have probably heard me whine and complain about the INSANE AMOUNT OF CRAPPINESS that runs through my current computer... well, we just got this e-mail... apparantly, my dad broke down and bought a new comp!!! YES!!!

Dell Dimension 8300 Series, Intel Pentium 4 Processor at 2.66GHz
    256 megs of ram
    120 gig hard drive
    win xp
    16x dvd-rom drive
    48x/24x/48x CD-RW Drive

wow I'm so insanely happy... lol how could he order it and not tell the rest of the family?????? AAHHHH I DON'T CARE THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

and wow, some of those numbers up there are BIG!! at least to me, coming from my half-amish perspective of computers for the last few years.

**edit** eegad, I hope this isn't a bad sign... this was post #666 for me!!!

looks pretty good, if you like to run a lot of stuff at once though you might want to get some more ram.

the machine im posting from now (my spare experiment computer in my basement) is 266 megahertz 64 megs of ram.
its running this page pretty snappy too to boot!
when i got this thing it was a screamer. 2.66 ghz was a pipe dream.

                anyway, cool
                enjoy!!

He's at 666 right now. Sorta funny

Anyhow non-bad dosen't mean good by any extent.

Not to start the AMD vs Intel war, but seriously my 3.06GHz P4 w. HT (yes I just got a new comp to) will blow a 2.17GHz "Barton" out of the water. Go find some benchmarks if you want, you'll see.
