    downloading streaming video to HD?

hey all, is it possible to DL a streaming video completely onto your hard disk? There was a private Foo Fighters concert a few days ago around here but unforunately i couldn't score tickets but thank god for AOL (never thought i'd say that). They have brief coverage of it here http://channels.netscape.com/ns/musi...2.jsp?file=foo and it is a streaming video so i was wondering if i could save it to my HD before they take it off or something like that/

any help would be greatly appreciated.

uhh no, this is a streaming video. It dosn't work that way. If you try that, it does not save the whole thing. It still streams from the internet.

I'm not sure it's possible, save from some program that would capture it. Maybe like a screen capture program, but for video? Probably wouldn't be too good quality, but I do think one of the reasons they have streaming video is so people can't download it.

Look at the pages code figure out where the video is located then download.

To see code hit view, source

There are two ways the video might be on.

#1 www.domain.com/xxx/xxx.mov (or any other extension)

          #2 /xxx.mov

with the second you have to look at the directory the page you are looking at is in. Example you see the video here

          www.domain.com/xba/movie.html

          then find /xxx.mov

          the videos location will be

          www.domain.com/xba/xxx.mov

once you have the videos URL the eaiset thing to do is using a download manager (look around on Cnet) put the URL into the download http:// and download it.

          Seems complicated, it isnt though.
