    Just got back myself...

although I remain in protest under the fact this whole thing was conceptually stolen from a comic story from Grant Morrison, known as "The Invisibles", I enjoyed this movie very much.

I dont wish to drop any spoilers here but here are some of my random thoughts.

This movie is reminincent of Ep 5 of starwars to me...

This movie shares alot of my scary concepts about organized religion and Creationism as a whole

This movie will leave alot of people scratching their heads, but of us that actually get it will be well rewarded.

This movie is going to give LOTR a run for its money for the monumental trilogy of the decade... Im talking EPIC as Star Wars was for the late 70's-early 80's

I don't think the Matrix trilogy will be an Epic unless the third movie is as good as the first. I agree this movie is sorta like SW Ep5.

As for all the fight scenes, if I wanted to see super kung fu action, I'd go rent Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. There was much more to the first movie than kung fu, but it seems thats all they wanted to do in this one.

The movie wasn't without its cool parts, but still.

If it was like this one, then the trilogy is crap besides the first movie.

This movie is ONLY not worthless if it leads into a REALLY solid third movie. If the third movie dissapoints, it will drag the rest of the trilogy down with it.

Well I do think the movie definetely had some interesting points ... the whole explination of the "one" actually made sense, and made you think a little into the motivations of the council ...

You have to give them credit for sticking to the whole theme of "choice" through-out the movie ...

I found the "rave" scene to be quite nice Can you just imagine the accoustics in that cavern LOL ...

The only complaint I had was the "cartoonish" look to Neo and Smith in the more complicated fight scenes ... At least they could have kept his 5 o'clock shadow on his computer generated face ... kind of ruined the effect for me.

Saw it earlier today: love the fight scenes!

I liked it too but I think it went on for too long

The "rave" scene was a little drawn out. I think I coulda down without it.

The fight scenes were maybe a little overdone. The thing about CG is...you can use it all you want...as long as you DON'T TRY TO MAKE CG PEOPLE. IT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD. Still, it wasn't terribly horrible (ala The Mummy Returns) so it didn't get me too upset.

The plot, in my opinion, could not have been better. I walked into it thinking that it would be a "let's see how badass we can make the fight scenes" kind of movie, but it actually made you think. Very nice.

                Can't wait for Revolutions.

I really liked the movie. I think I figured out the whole deal too. You know when that "person" who did that "thing" towards the end (Trying not to spoil)? Well after seeing that I can safley say I understand eveything, including the unsaid that will happen in the next movie. I Wanna discuss it but don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen it..

i think the best way to describe this movie, is, remember when the new star wars trilogy came out, and everyone hated the first one? well, that first one was needed to explain the story, so people new what was going on in the second and third one. well, i think this film was sort of like that, just a link between parts one and three. hype up the third one, and tons of people will come and spend lots of money to see it.

anyway, anyone sit through the hours of credits at the end to see the trailer for the third one? kind of helps understand the movie, looks like the third one will be awesome.

I was kind of dissapointed. The ending was super gay, and the trailer wasnt worth seeing, especially when you REALLY have to piss.. Yea but I couldnt stop laughing after Neo sees the oracle and meets Mr smith.. ahaha that fight was awesome..

saw it twice this weekend. loved it!!
and really LIKED the ending. its a very good cliff hanger
but yeah i was a bit disapointed by the preview. it would have been fine if they would have not flashed the scenes so fast. BUT i cant wait for the Neo/Agent Smith fight in the next Matrix.

I saw it last Thursday and I must admit, I was also let down. I found myself dozing off twice during that movie...and it wasn't just me...my friends also mentioned how they almost fell asleep at some of the scenes. I thought the script wasn't that great...especially after 4 years to write it. It just felt as if they were making up the story as they went along. They knew how to begin it and how to end it, the stuff in the middle was kinda ... eh, whatever.

The fight scenes was cool but you have to admit, it wasn't something you haven't seen already...just more of it which doesn't always mean it's better, imo.

The feeling I got after watching it was...man, I would be pissed if I had to wait in line for hours or days just to see that movie. But it wasn't a totally boring movie.
