    Question on generating logo and text for jerseys ...

    Hey all ...

    For those that have made their own text and images for team jerseys, what do you do to avoid the horrible jaggies on the text and what not.

    I have tried playing with the AA settings on photoshop, but they always still seem to be jagged on the angles and curves ...

    Do you recommend working in a larger format and shrinking it down to print size? Or will what I see on the screen not transfer over to print ...

    Also what format do you work in for this ... .gif .jpeg .tga .tiff ...

    Thanks,

    Generally you have to rasterize the text and or convert it to a vector....output as a tiff (again generally) Learn photoshop or if you can't get hold of that then paintshop pro...I have both and get along better with paintshop pro, but the results I have so far aren't brilliant but then I would guess i was trying to run a bit before I can walk.

      At the moment I have at hand;

      PaintShop Pro 5
      Photoshop 7
      Gimp
      Macromedia MX Studio
      Kai's Powertools

      And a couple others that I havent even installed yet ... maybe I am just being too critcal and should print out some of the stuff and see how it looks.

      Thanks for the advice.

        Crack open Freehand in Studio MX, print work should be done in vector formats only. My stuff came back from the shop in gorgeous condition and I tend to be very critical of anything less than perfection when it comes to print jobs.
