    My new project

Well, summer is here, and I've got another project bike. This year it's a 1985 Honda NightHawk 650. I purchased this little beauty for a whopping $100 yesterday. Believe it or not, it has 4000 original miles and runs like a dream. It's present condition is attributed to a divorce, and a woman's inability to appreciate something with two wheels and an engine. Even so, with a little money, and a few hours of work, it'll be as good as new. All in all, a very nice stablemate for my 96' ZX-6.

yeah thats a really good deal.

don't take this personal, but that pipe really pisses me off for some reason.

hey nice work zumina... did you polish the chrome or just wash it up real good?

Most of the chrome was simply cleaned and polished. However, parts like the brake lever, shift lever, carb caps, and handle bars underwent an acid treatment that actually ate the rust. I intended to have those parts rechromed, but when I saw the perspective bill, I decided against it. So, some of the chrome is pitted, but it still looks very nice.

my first impression, and probably rhetor's impression was that the pipe looks way too big. after looking at it more, i think it looks alright.

well they're not open. The black peice is a baffle. Kind of a stupid idea, but it keeps the bike quiet
