I got me a new baby

Well, I've finally gotten some pics developed of my new baby. one Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0L turbo horizontally opposed "boxer" engine. All-Wheel-Drive (makes for good, fun four wheel drift and grass work ) Running 12psi boost, aftermarket top-mount intercooler and plumb-back blow-off valve. That's all the engine mods I've got at the moment, but once funds become available, the boost will go up, the intercooler will be ditched for a front-mount, and a new exhaust and pod filter will be fitted. Run a best 1/4 mile ET of 14.4 @95mph. Not that quick, but it's quicker than my 5.0L V8 ute was.

Oh, last I heard you couldn't get WRX's in the States, The best Subaru put out there was the RS 2.5L non-turbo. Shame that. Hopefully things have changed.

Nice, and yes we've had the WRX since at least the 02 model year(I don't think it was here for 01). It was just refreshed for 04. We also got our own version of the STI this year, with a turbo 2.5 pushing 300/300.

They do make an STI in 2 door, but I wanted 4. I'm becoming a taxi again. Good to see that Subaru US have gone with the turbo, coz the non-turbo Subaru engines are puss.

Once the first few mods are done, I'll be eating STI's for lunch. hehehe Until I blow up the gearbox and drivetrain that is. But it's all covered by warranty.

nice have have always been fond of those. they had turbos in 2000. my dad got a mitsubishi eclipse GT in 2000 and a few months later the subura came out and he wanted that instead but he never got it.
