    Whos been in a riot????

Tonight was my first. Hahahahaha. Proud to be a CSU Ram. Hahaha. Well i guess it wasnt that big of one but to me it was crazy. There was supposed to be a block party and apprently the cops were supposed to block of the streets and have it be all legal but there were no cops there. As I was in line for the keg in the house(took me half and hour to even reach the keg) a cop car pulled up. About 5 minutes later a saw him through the window speeding away. I thought that everthing was worked out and the party was too big to break up. Boy was I wrong. About five minutes later I saw two guys running down the street with a stop sign still connected to the post. Get my beer go outside and the scene was crazy. A whole four way intersection was just filled with people. Beer bottles going everywhere someone had firecrackers and were thorwing around. Whatever stop signs were still up were getting trashed. All of um ended up getting ripped down. Some kid picked one up and started marching towards the cops and eventually threw it toward the police. Then the best part happend hehehehehe girls started getting on guys shoulders and flashing wooohoooo haha. Then someone yelled "there coming" and there was about 20 cops in full riot gear marching down the road. One idiot trys to take them on and all I saw was him go down in a see of sheilds and billy clubs. Then they started teargassing us and forceing us down the street. It was funny cause it was only about a block away from the campus and the teargas clouds drifted thourgh all the dorms. Gotta love college.

Hrmm, need to watch the news, would have seen it.

The energy from the crowd was amazing. It was such an adrenline rush. The mob mentalty is almost scary. If we really wanted to we could of stood up to the police unless they used lethal force.

If you get enough people, it doesn't matter what they use...

              Yeah right!

That is until they bring in the horse mounted officers, launch the teargas and break out the beanbag/paintball guns! If the New Orleans police can control Mardi Gras, police can stop any riot.

              Plus, ever see Wyatt Earp?

horse mounted officers are useless in a riot, they will just end up getting pulled off of the horse, and teargas only works if they have the time to launch it, and if youve ever been to mardi gras, their really is no control, their trying to crack down during mardi gras, but theirs to many damn people

hehe, I live in New Orleans, and Mardi Gras is anything but controlled. Sure, a few people get arrested, but for the most part, anything goes! Riots are fun.

Hahahahahaha sweet we made the 10oclock news with our "large party that got out of control". Apparently the cops used rubber pepper bullets. Could those be paintball like objects filled with some sort of pepper spray? I think i rember reading that somewhere that some police used those types of things. Maybe it was on these forums haha.

Riots are crazy I've only been in a small school related on in jr. high not much of a riot more like a giant mosh pit. But people got hurt and nothing was accomplished so thats all that really matters.

pfft. We used to have fun at Kent State. Now any party even spilling out into the front yard is broken up by police by 10:30pm.

                              Oh well.
