Ya clean up the dirty desktop.

    or

    Code:
Click Start, point to Find, and then click Find Files and Folders.
In the Search for files or folders named box, type mnstr2pl.dl_.
In the Look in box, type C:\.
    Click Search Now.
Right-click the Mnstr2pl.dl_ file and click Rename.
In the file name box, type mnstr2pl.xxx, and then press ENTER.
Repeat steps one to six using Mnstr2pl.dll as the file to find.
Rename the Mnstr2pl.dll file to Mnstr2pl.yyy.

            Darktide, (the PK one)

BTW- I think the problem is, as other people stated, the fact that your desktop is too cluttered. I noticed you have alot of installer things that you don't need anymore on it. You also have shortcuts to alot of programs that probably auto launch (like Realplayer, etc). Go ahead and delete those types of things, and see if it helps.

negative. The answer to his question is in my first post. I was just being sarcastic. Sure his computer might run like crap with all that clutter but it will still run.

That's the technical answer, but I believe that the heart of the problem initially lay in installing too many "widgets" that don't really do anything for you. Things like weatherbug, etc. etc. They leave stupid little .dll files and other nuisances hanging around even after you "remove" the program. With all the orphaned files, Windoze tends to get confused and spit out spurrious error messages like that one.

But the best answer I've heard so far is to save your critical information and reload your OS from scratch!

I don't know about you, but I'd rather reformat than spend a long time finding every little thing thats hidden itself somewhere on my hd just waiting to cause trouble at a later date. I COULD, and I HAVE, and I WOULD if i had to.

The world would be a better place if everyone reformatted once a month!!

Worried about losing you data? If you dont have everything important already backed up...I will have no pity for you when you lose everything.(Newbs who dont know better excluded)
