Paintball doesn't make you aggressive. People with aggressive tendancies play paintball. Note: aggressive /= violent. Aggressive boys play football, non-aggressive boys run cross country. Football doesn't make the kid agressive, it's the other way around. I mean for crying out loud, how do these sports get invented???? Someone has to have WANTED to do a certain activity.

Why have millions been massacred since the beginning of time? It's because they played paintball and saw it on TV! It has nothing to do with inate human nature.

If this logic were true... we would see some really strange... noticeable things. Prisons would be filled with a disproportionate number of paintball and video game nerds... StarWars posters abound. Network cables would go from one cell to another so these guys could play more QuakeIII to pass the time during their sentence.

I would say that aggression DOES have to do with innate human nature. More violent crimes are committed by men than women. It's in their nature, i.e. testosterone.

Again, I would say that doing something doesn't make one agressive. One does something because they ARE aggressive. Lack of controlling the aggression(nature), is where people go off the deep end. And that lack could be attributed to things like bad parenting(discipline), etc.

If you don't believe that aggression can be in people's nature, you have never seen a toddler throw a tantrum. God knows that parents don't teach them to do this, it just happens (selfish little dweebs). It is up to the parents, then, to teach them to control their behavior.

Good point Beam. Paintball is my way of getting the aggression out of my system. It's actually the only time I'm ever aggressive. Same is true with violent video games. The vast majority of us know the difference with between this simulated violence and the real thing. The people who don't, and I'm thinking of those Columbine punks, are psychopaths anyway and would have killed with or without video games.

However, I play paintball for fun... that's it. Sure I play aggressively... that's my personality, but not with anger. Aggression is part of your personality... you're not really made that way by outside factors. So I fail to see how something can 'make' someone aggressive.
