high school hazing

I totally agree. Expulsion should be the least of their worries. If someone did that to me(assuming I was a girl), there'd be a rapid redistribution of wealth from one family to another. If someone did it to my girlfriend, which scares me more, there'd be heads rolling down the sidewalk.

well, ive seen it like twice. a friend said it was an angel, another friend said it was a marble, and another friend said that it did permanent damage. im only taking their words for it.

to all those who dont know what it is. its a touch football game that then leads to shaving cream, eggs, kethup/mustard; atleast it was like this a few years ago. now people were getting fed dog crap, i heard that a bucket of semen was poured on the girls, buckets were thrown at them, they were beaten, and some *** decided to hit a girl with a baseball bat. now, all the girls that like strangled the other girls with pig intestines are suing to get back in school since they were suspended and it really pisses me off. the stupidity of the north shore dumbfounds me. one of the people involved in it said, and i quote "its not that bad, its not like anyone got killed". since when do people have to die for things to be serious??

I can't even imagine the kids at my school doing this. Sure, sometimes kids will throw soda and crap from the bleachers, or yell some insults; But that........ that is just disturbing.

Last thing I heard, 15 girls were charged with assult. On the video I saw one girl actually punching another girl. I even saw another girl throw something large at a girls head. Needless to say, that girl went down.

my high school has always had the annual juniors v. seniors girls' football game, but this year they tried to have it banned. why? because every year girls would pull eachother's hair out, break something, go to the hospital, etc. not because of hazing but because they would get so keyed up on winning. needless to say, our senior class fought to have it back and we got it back, and noone got hurt in the game. hazing in and of itself is just stupid. why injure someone to encourage taking the next step in life? hazing used to be a big problem on the track team here, and i really think it's counterproductive. hazing causes things to become banned, such as fraternities, and obviously "just for fun" football. but ya, i agree with everyone...that was freakin' disturbing.

well, the way I see it, Hazing does have a purpose. Lets take joining a secret society for example. If joining a secret society was as simple as knowing someone in it, being related to someone in it, or passing a simple test, anyone could join the secret society, even people who weren't whole-heartedly aimed at joining. However, when you throw hazing into the mix, only the people who truely want to do it will go through the hazing. I mean, would you subject yourself to being a servant just to join a frat that you didn't really want to be a member of? no. Hazing cleans out the herds and leaves the creme of the crop.

Another similar example, becoming a Navy SEAL. While the training isn't hazing persay, it's tough and strenuous none the less. Drill sargents wake you up before you've even had a chance to sleep and make you do pushups under live gunfire, in the rain, until you don't think you can do another pushup ever again. Then they do it again the next morning. This gets rid of the recruits and candidates who don't whole-heartedly want to be there and leaves only the strong willed ones who want to be there enough that they will let themselves suffer to join.


HOWEVER, this is not hazing. This is sick disturbing behavior. No person or persons should ever be subjected to this and it's safe to say that no one in there right mind would do it just for powerpuff football. The people doing the "hazing" are sick specimens of human indecency(sp?).

that last post reminds me of a group called raiders that my schools rotc has we are the only school that has it in my parish b/c the others are to inmature to handle it. in this organisnation you have to go through a 8 week training course and on the 9th have to be able to do at least 55 push ups in 2 mins 55 sit ups in 2 mins run 2 miles in 16 mins do 100 leg lifts in 2 mins and then pass all the written and practical tests which include cpr, land nav, knot tying, and lots of useless rotc info which you would have to learn anyway. anyways in past years the recruits were hazed (mildly) to weed out the non hackers it wasnt anything severe.

There are a few AO members who go to that school, Glenbrook North, Maghappy, Nutz and Glick06. Not sure if any of them post here any more though..
