dude. ive been to every one of their shows in CT up until about a few months ago when i missed one

anyway.. to my C22 story :)

I went to like a bunch of their concerts in a row in CT, and they saw me everytime, gave me the mic a bunch of times yadda yadda.. this one particular show, they are handing out the mic quite a bit, and i get it alot.. at the end of their show, last song (you would know its 1234 1234 if you are really a fan :)), they called me on stage and i got to sing the WHOOLE damn thing.. and it was really fun.

'korn' suxorz... thats the end of it.. you lose. The funny thing is, most people.. scuse me.. ALL people in my school who listen to 'korn' (they werent smart enough to spell it right), also listen to rap, and most of them are wastes of life and do nothing but smoke pot (not saying pot makes you a waste of life.. it does make you hellla lazy though), and... do nothing.

Being a guitarist/bassist myself, I'm really disenchanted with today's music.

Not only does it lack originality, it's just crap, for lack of a better word. Since the passing of Stevie Ray Vaughan, there hasn't been another "Rock Messiah", and in my opinion, most of the talent died with SRV. I miss songs that are actually well constructed, with actual harmonic melodies past the simple I IV V crap that many bands pass off, or even their testosterone-fueled crap-fests they call solos now.

As of now, Kirk Hammet from Metallica is the only really mainstream guitarist who has a shred of talent, and even the "metal" edge that he put on his playing crimped his potential. Being a student of I believe Steve Vai, I think Hammet had the potential to be the next SRV, but he turned to the dark side, so to speak

So really, I haven't heard anything decent or original that has come from the past decade, unfortunately. The closest thing in my opinion to original would be Creed, but beyond their first album, I haven't found much life or merit in much of their music either.

I think the worst band ever is Motley Crue just because of the absolute losers they are. Anyway has anyone heard the new metallica stuff cause its sounds like the old days are back?

korn used to be cool...after all in the family cd they sucked so i stop listening to then..... and anyways will thats your opinion.

and any band so called "punk" band on MTV like blink182, sum41, the used, good charlette, new found glory. ect. suck....they all sound the same...the lead singer has the voice like a 13 year old kid its not cool its lame. i like some rap, like run dmc, the old stuff before they talked about blunts and smacken hoes. and i hate eminiem or what ever your spell his name.... is lame, first cd was ok. still didn't like it 3rd cd just sucked...i can go on for ever about him and the hate i have for him.

you can't go wrong with cool bands like suicidal tendencies, bad religion, the suicide machines, leftover crack, old rancid before they got lame, tool, bob marly nofx, spare lead (local band up in portland) and some local bands here in town.
