cphilips F350 Beast gets a new pair a shoes!

    Not bad price neither!

6 of them for $602 out the door with Mounting, Balancing, Road Hazard and life time rotation...

Listed at $84 a peice before all the taxes and stuff. Seem very quite and handle nice so far. Allways have had good luck with BFG's. Hope these are decent.

    Sams Club.

BFG Commercial TA all season radial

    Specs here

So I now ready to travel again!!!!

That does seem like a really good price. I'm no expert on tires but I figured that tires for a large truck like yours would be closer to $150 a piece! I just realized that these tires are cheaper than a Halo! Congradulations, now you have more money for paint to send thru your x!

Well its got some pretty nice looking wheels on it already and there are not a lot of choices for a Dually due to the offsets of them over the hubs. But its got some fairly nice chrome mags on it.

You can kind of see them in this old picture...

also the stock rims are gunna hold a real lot of weight.

I have a set of BFG tires and so far they've been great. They cost me a lot more tho

            tire guy

The BFG's are a good tire. For the future check out the Firestone Steeltex AT. Being a tire guy and from personal experience. These are one of the best you can buy. I have a Dodge RAM 2500 4wd and I have never gotten the miles out of any tire like these. 50-60,000 is awesome IMO.

BFG's are the best tires in the world. I have had a set of All Terrain T/A's on my blazer for the last 157000 mles. They wont wear out. I have rotated them 15 times or so. Great rubber composition...Excellent wear characteristics...

BFGs are nice my dad has a set of the all-terrains, seems like hes had them for ever. Now on the other hand be glad that you don't have to drop about 200 a tire like I do but hey big trucks need big tires (35in.)

Yea but not too many people been too keen on them Firestone Steelex's though lately. With all the bad publicity and complaints they got. That was a stock tire on the Superduties for a while. Just ended recently. And a good number of people had real nice mileage with those. They were a great tire for sure. Just way more expensive than these I found. And so are the Michelin's. But they were up in the $150 a tire ranges. I could have only gotten 4 for this price. So hey...If I get 40K off these I would be happy with them.

                          good price

You definately got a good price and a good tire. The Firestone Wilderness AT was the recall tire. We sell the Steeltex for around 100 bucks including everything. cheaper than a Sams or other warehouse club. Like I said the BFG are a real good tire. Don't mean to sound like i'm bashing them.

...well I would pay 100 bucks for a Steelex any day. Don't find em around here for that although they are lower than they used to be. Seems like I saw em around here for around 120 mounted and all.

But contrary to popular knowledge there was a rash of Them failed too. A lot of them were just replaced without comment. The Superduties had a percentage of failures above normal after the Wilderness fiasco. And they were phased out in the end without a complete recall. Mainly cause there are fewer of them on the road and Ford and Firestone had learned their lesson by this time and replaced em even if something just slightly was complained about. But I do not things overall they were a bad tire. And I certainly do not think they are now even if there was a "Bad Batch" which doesn't even seem likely. Just no real record the SteelX was a problem but a good number if them bubbles and were replaced and some of them seperated. They got a bad name once people started "watching" for problems and some found em.

                              Houston...we have a problem.

Upon close inspection it now seems they damaged all four of the Aluminum Rims. The Rear inner ones are steel so I am certain they are too but would never show on them as they never get rotated to the outside. But...

And after a visit back to Sams and a visit to a Body Shop for an estimate they are now looking at a $1420 insurance claim. Yes... They gouged em with the machine that holds them and spins them to demount the old tires. Three nice patterned gouges from the teeth in four places evenly spaced on each inner wall of the rim. And some lip gouging as well.

They have looked at them and have admitted fault. And since the ones that came off where the OEM and thier tire machine exactly matches the pattern left there is no doubt. And I have submitted and esitmate for the rear ones to them already. But the body shop also found the front ones damaged inside. And these would be the ones rotated to the back and turned outside where it would show if you were to rotate that way. So they would be an issue if Rotation was to occur. So I am now dealing with adding those two as well. Back two are $710.28 by themselves. I assume the front ones are the same at this point...

                              Oie Vey....
