to the original subject, the only reason I use a mousepad is to prevent the mouse from literally disentigrating. A friend of mine replaced his moust because it wore away. Oh yeah, GO OPTICAL!

Optical mouses are the only way to go. People with wheel mouses, are living in the stone age. I really want a wireless mouse, because I keep running out of wire to move around with, it pisses me off so much.
