yes, you can run opengl in xp with any card that supports opengl. if you have problems with it, then its unrelated to xp being you os. try getting the lates drivers, or a new card

I bought both versions (returned one). I'd pick up the 4600. Its a little more but worth the extra money. But either card is great.
