I get ones that will appear four or five screens down. I have to scroll down and to the right to find them. It's really annoying and I would love to eat the children of whoever keeps sending them to me.

some ad-ware or spyware has gotten on to your computer. You need to get a prog like Ad-Aware to get rid of them. I know from personal experience how annoying it can be.

      cheers

Its definately spyware or spyware that has made some changes to your registry. Sometime Ad-aware doesnt get everything. Get a program called Spybot: Search and Destroy. Run that and see what it comes up with. It worked for me for a similar problem that adaware didnt fix.

Keep both scanner programs cause they compliment each other. And make sure they are both updated.

I keep getting porn pop ups. Earthlinks pop up blocker is keeping them away for now though.

I've got something that has escaped both Ad-Aware (I like it so much I even paid for the full version) and Spybot. I'm still trying to find what it is. The title of the page that pops up is usually "ExitExchange...".

                  agreed.

You could always just try some simple pop-up blocker; even though it's not the ideal solution, it might work. POW has seemed to work well for me and several other people I know, but make sure you've got plenty of ram or else you'll be waiting for ten minutes whenever you open a program.
