    mad props

Props to all you guys for your hard work. i have several friends that have earned their eagle rank, i've seen the kind of effort it takes.
I kinda half assed my way through cub scouts and earlier scouting till i just cut out, wasn't for me. im not quite the organized uniform wearing type. all that stuff about a scout being clean thrifty and reverant kind of eluded me.

I'm a star scout, and I'm only 13. I was admitted early, and I'm almost to life. Haven't done OA yet, hope to soon though. What exactly do you do during the test? When I was going to my wilderness survival class the morning after they had the ceremony, they were all carrying around sticks and logs. All I know is that you can't talk. I already know what my eagle project will be...I'm building benches for our Boys and Girls Club. Hope to finish well before I'm 18. I think we're going to Philmont next summer, but it's still in debate because we want to go to Yosemite and hike. I'm in troop 33 of Arkansas, so it would be a long trip. So far, one of my most memorable times in scouts was when we went on a backpacking trip and we got stuck in a tornado/flash flood warning, and the next morning, because everything was wet (We couldn't find a single thing anywhere that was dry, the bottem of my sleeping bag froze. A first year broke his leg the night before too. It sucked.

Dude, if all you need is 2 merit badges, then get them.

That's like dropping out of high school the week before you graduate

not that easy, to get eagle you have to become 'active member' which means go to meetings and stuff for a month or two. not to mention those are the merit badges that take the longest to complete .

:o even still, 2 merit badges! That's it! Just go to the meetings, and sit down with one of your scout masters and do it. It's worth the work you'll put into it.

I swear, you'll kick youself later for being so close and letting it go.

I finished communication in a matter of a few hours. Personal Mngmt isn't too hard, either. Just keep some financial records, and learn to do chores and stuff It will take a week or so, but there is next to no 'work' involved...
