so did a mod delete my thread?

Ok I made a thread yesterday with a link in it. It was a joke. Not an innapropriate link in the slightest. Its gone now, I assume a mod deleted it, not sure why though. It would have been nice to at least get a PM telling me why.

So as soon as I get ahold of that link again, I will repost it, unless told otherwise. As of right now I dont know if it was deleted or not.

Because those stupid jokes are hell on the dial-up people, not to mention they are just plain annoying. It's only funny for the person that posts it, not for the people that have to deal with it. With all the internet spamming pop-ups we have to put up with, you want to lay THAT foolishness on us too?

no what happens is you click on it and it comes to a screen that says "i am controlling your computer" or something like that.

Then it opens your disk drive. A simple harmless joke that obviously put someone in a bad mood.

lol I've seen something like that, but I laughed pretty hard when it happened.
It said "As a loyal Coca-Cola customer, we'd like to give to you a free cup holder" or something like that... when you clicked OK, the CD drive popped open!!!
aaaaahahaha... lol well I thought it was funny, anyway...

yeah ppl are weird, a few weeks ago someone posted a photoshoped cat carrier, it's a hilarious pic and it's obviously fake, but someone got all offended by it. If they'd close some of the threads that I'm offended about then I would pry be less prone to offend other ppl. But the way I see it, they can the right to get offended and I have the right to let them know they are dorks for it
And thus, life goes on... just drop it now.

When did it became against the law to offend people? Oh gee your offended, go cry to your mama. I thought the internet was suppose to be all about free speech. Like it or not, jokes are a form of speech.

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

How many times has it been said that there is no such thing as free speech on AO. It is a private message board and the can edit or delete anything they please at their discretion. I saw the thread, got a kick out of it but it's gone. Deal with it.

Unfortuatly this whole country is becoming "private".
