    Another thing

I get more and more toys every year. Problem is, every year I have less and less time to use half of them.

I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I'm in all Honors classes, except for PE and Faith/Sacraments(I go to a Jesuit high school). Those two classes don't have Honors(PE does for sophmores), so my classes aren't too easy. I'm taking an extra class next year, AP survey of the arts. I don't cheat, although some people try to cheat off me. The reason I do well, I think, is my having a good memory. Thats the key to doing good in school IMO. Most of the people I know who don't do as good, don't have as good of memories. Could you please tell me wht I could be doing wrong?

I really hope I have a job when I grow up that I like and am able to live comfortably on. I mean I'd like to earn a lot, but money isn't everything. What good is the money if your miserable earning it? If I can get a job where I earn a lot and love doing it, that be a dream for me. Fields I'm looking to get into include teaching, writing, sports writing, or even paintball since it's an up and coming field with many ideas yet to be discovered. If your undecided now, it's not like you have to fret over it. A lot of the times people stumble into there jobs. And if your for sure on what you really want to do in your career, find a job now that's related to it so you can get hands into that field.

Oh and on the subject of the people here who have multiple $1k guns and stuff, there most likely singlr with a good paying job. Once you have a family, you have more obligations and find that your money will quickly disappear (though I'm only 17, I've just noticed this from spectating).

Yes, I already know this. Next year i will start meeting w/ my congressman, but the cool thing is is if my NJROTC unit becomes a distinguished unit my junior year, my naval science instructor will be able to nominate me for an appointment, and the past couple years we have been (a distinguished unit), so Im not to worried about that part. The academies are so hard to get into because you have to do well in so many areas, maintaining good grades is not enough, you have to be physically fit as well, among other things.

PS There is one more military academy, Coast Gaurd.

Personally, I've found out that any job that I'll have will be just a hassle. *Anything* that i've done and enjoyed turned into something less than enjoyable when it's turned into work and when there's deadlines and people waiting for you to finish.

Honestly, I've decided to go towards a career that's simply Tolerable, IMO, and hopefully won't take up most of my life.

I don't want my life to be full of work. I want my work to stay at work and my fun to stay fun.

Dunno if this applies to you, but just letting you know that there's people like this around

Ok, let me clear up some stuff... Military, not an option, first off, I wouldn't make it through basic training, second, I don't realy have the urge to get blown up. And another thing, my grades aren't great. I have decent grades, (couple A's the rest b-d's) I hate complicated math. And I was just using people with alot of guns as an example. I just want a job that will let me live comfortable in the bay area, (where rent is about $1500 for a 2 bedroom condo...) I was thinking mabe some kind of law enforcment or police, I have a clean record btw, dispite what I admit to on here I am looking at law enforcment because 1. It won't be boring 2. Dosen't take alot of schooling and 3. pays decent. What Irealy would like to be is a lawyer but I don't have any money for college saved up and a schollarship isn't looking too good. And as for people that are telling me to do sports and stuff, I can't I live like 20 miles away from my school and take the school bus that picks me up to take me home at 3:30, and thats when practice starts for sports. So my options are kinda limited, thats why I posted here, I'm wondering what everyone else does.

I was in the same boat as you all. I had talents but didn't have the motivation to get good grades in high school. I also didn't have money for college. I joined the Air Force and you know the rest "saw the world and earned a paycheck".
Its 11 years later and I learned to be disciplined "not the drill instructor yelling in you face kind". I slowly worked at it and got my college degree, saw alot of great countries, and worked with some of the coolest people. In short, I saw alot more than many of my friends back home would ever see. I also earned a good paycheck.
Its not the life for some people, but its also not what you see in movies or on TV shows. Its truely fun and its great helping people at the same time. We do more than fight wars.
I cant complain about a single thing that I have done in the military. I have earned enough money to own a nice car, 5 markers (4 mags), and vacationed in the coolest parts of the world.
By the way, being a police officer is alot more dangerous than being in the military. Trust me, I've done both jobs.

Since you're taking AP next year that would mean you're a Senior next year correct? Or do you mean the class is AP prep? But wait, you mentioned AP PE for sophomores, now, that would imply you're a freshmen. Not to mention, I didn't know colleges provided P.E., therefore, Advanced Placement Physical Education would not be provided. Please correct me if I am mistaken.

All right, so, you're in AP track English, Math, Science, History, and Foreign Language. My first question is, which type of AP science? Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or some lesser known branch? I can almost guaranty you will not pass any junior / senior AP track classes, or tests without studying.

However, you may be correct. I didn't study for any of my classes, and I have a 4.0, though I am merely a freshmen. I didn't take low-end classes either, AP track ENglish; Math, Science - Biology ; History (Maybe, if they can provide it, I attend a small school); and Foreign Language - Spanish; tacked onto this I had two English independent studies; and a quarter of Victorian literature; Henry IV - General Shakespeare; and a semester of creative writing. Later on I anticipate studying for these classes, it will likely be mandatory in order to succeed.

Wish my school had more AP choices though.

what makes you think that if you cant get through military boot, you can get through police training? youre still gonna have the physical portion, and lots of stress, im not saying military is the right choice, cause its deff not for everyone.

if youre worried about bootcamp, you can always go to airforce and it will be a cake walk
