The last time I saw a picture of a BOSS mustang I remember it being the older style body the non curved one. Kinda looked more like a dragster and was supposedly alot faster. I think it was the late '80's body style perhaps but I do know it was before my generation

feel free to discuss.
0-60 in 1.9 seconds is impossible for that car. There is absolutley no way in hell it can do that. A friend of mines dad has a drag camaro that runs low 8s and cant even do 0-60 in that.
The fastest 0-60 time i have ever seen for a none f1 car is 3.3 seconds.
0-60 in 3.6 or 4.6 seconds seems like a more respectiable timeLast edited by Automaggin2; 06-04-2003, 01:21 PM.Dub V

My buddy has a 98 SVT Focus with a supercharged v-6 and the thing can only do a 14 sec quarter. Trust me, you see his underhood you'll understand why no v-8 is ever gonna go there.
did ford make SVTs Focuses in 98?
And as for nitrous, dont call it "nos", call it nitrous, nos sounds so fake and rice boyish, and NOS is the name of a company, not the name of the nitrous. to much Fast and the Furious for some of you.Dub V

That 0-60 time HAS to be the 60 ft. time. That at least sounds a bit more reasonable. Other than that, I am VERY unimpressed. With that kind of horsepower and torque on a small car like a Mustang, you should be well into the low 9's, possibly high 8's.
Those (and all) Focuses are hideous. Those cars would have to be pulling 7's to make up for their ugliness factor, and they are very lucky to be running twice that.
I'm not a Ford guy, so could someone explain to me what it is that CasingBill posted a picture of? Could just be some body kit for all I know, but it looks pretty damn good. If I designed it, I'd take a few inches of skirt off the bottom and change the front to include a larger, muscle-car style grill with ram air and sidepipes. It's a step in the right direction though.Comment

Dude, Its a Ford FR500 mustang built in 1999 as a prototype. You will notice the 18" wheels and the front axle moved up. Also as posted before it has 415 hp.Originally posted by Flamebo

If I remember correctly this car set a record for 0 to 100 and back to 0. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. They were supposed to make like a 100 of these but the $55,000 price tag killed it.Comment

Hell, i would shell out 55 for that piece. I dont think it didnt sell, cause i know a few guys that would jump right on that with no hesitation.....55 is not bad for that car at all, as long as they keep up with the preproduction track specs.Dub V

I will try and find where I read that. I know it doesn't sound right because the Cobra-R is right around 55,000 and they sell those. It's pretty much race ready though.Comment

How about a RWD focus with an '03 cobra motor in it?

Ligenfelter's Sonoma would do 0-60 in 2 secs. Twin Turbo 429 (or maybe 425 it's late) AWD in a little truck. Something like 700 HP. Craziness.
Also, doesn't one of the higher end Stangs have IRS? I thought one of them did, I could be wrong though.I like potatoesComment
