Toby Keith did his in a smaller venue and to trade publications. Whenb he sang the opening song at the awards show with Willie Nelson and when he presented he took no shots at the DCs.
The DCs can say what they want, just like TK can. I am saying their choice of venue was very low class!Comment

But the CEO of my company isn't there to express his opinions about the Isreali/Palestinian conflict. His job is to make the company money. The DC's aren't being paid millions of dollars by their fans to hear their political beliefs. They are being paid to make music.
What we saw with the DC's was hugely inflated hollywood egos get punched in the face by Joe American.
We don't want to hear what they have to say. They can say it, but don't expect our financial support.
And what about the rights of the person who called the DC's mass murderers...

I never was a fan of the Dixie Chicks but now I'm starting to like them. I thought they were a gutless group that was so worried about image they would never stir up a pot and would be content on doing covers of old Fleetwood Mac songs. I'm starting to revise that opinion, however!!!
That Keith's guys song was so lame and pathetic. I wanted to vomit every time I heard it. Please don't give me that spoon fed baby talk and pass it off to me as a song. It certainly isn't a patriotic song. A patriotic song would paint the U.S. with warts and all but still come up with the conclusion that it is a great place to live.

TK criticized the chicks in interviews and made fun of them at his concerts by posting that Natalie Maines/Saddam picture that has been floating around the internet. He did not curse them or take the insults to a wide audience. I think the DCs have abosolutley no class! Not saying TK has a lot either, but to do what the chicks did on National TV is just plain White Trash! Whether you agree with them or not, the forum they choose was piss poor!
