    Marker Sale Question

What would you guys say is a fair price for the sale of a:

Black Java Edition 2001 Kingmann Spyer Shutter, completly stock (parts) with polished inernals, two trigger jobs and a 32 degress spring kit, in the original box with original parts kit. ive tried to describe it the best that i can, what would you say is a fair price for the gun. A local wanted to buy it from me and im wondering what to ask for.

I wouldn't give more then 75 dollars. Thats just me, if he is local and knows nothing about fair prices on the internet, take as much as hes got and run with it.

Is it in near mint condition?? If it is, I'd say somewhere around $125. If not, prolly around $95.

There's a couple ways you could try to "market" it. One would be to make sure they buyer knows that Kingman has discontinued the Shutter, so you could try to convince them it's going to be a rare or collector's item (good luck!).

The other is to be aware of just how cheap blowbacks are and he can get one an Esprit with an e-frame for $85. New Shutters are still in the $120 range, a spring kit is less than $10, and I would never pay anyone extra for a trigger job or polished internals because they're so easy to do on Spyders. If he pays $100, I'd consider yourself lucky, but I'd be nice and wouldn't ask for more than $90.

If your goal is to make as much as you can off the sale, I'd recommend putting it up on eBay, instead. Many of the buyers on eBay are, well, idiots.

AutomagRT1483: it is mint, with like one or two scratches from taking the pin out that holds the valve in plave.

but other wise good point that its discontinued. i do realize that you can get a esprint cheap now, thats why i knew i couldnt get all that much for it.
but thanks for the opinions. i apppreciate it.

Wow, I remember when I sold my Spyder Compact 2000 with a blue CP barrel an N-vader mask and a 9 oz Co2 Tank for $140

Man, good thing I got rid of it before these cheap electro frames came out.
