Technical/Engineering schools usually attract more guys than girls, hence the larger ratio of guys to girls. When I first started college it was like that then it started to balance out as the years went on.

P.S. Beware of the freshman 15, a girl/guy may look good when you first meet them but they are very likely to put on some extra pounds from all the drinking/junk food.

Girls tend to mature a little bit. No more cliques or having to worry about being cool.

I've got a hot girlfriend now and it never would have happened in high school. Dorky lazy nerds can get poontang, college makes it possible! But then again it might be the beer.

You'll notice when you go back home for winter break how immature high school girls are. But poonany is poonany, right? heehhehehe

In the college I just finished with, the girls were still hanging out in the same groups from the various highschools they went too, not paying attention and talking in classes, and being materialistic and shallow as hell. The experience was much better than highschool, but the girls didn't really seem to change (huge generalization, I know). But then I was just in first and second year courses...

Transfering to the incredibly expensive University of British Columbia this September. Most of the people there are rich, taking out big student loans(me), or rich and from asia, so it should be different. Probably varies from year to year, the cost, and whether they take the courses seriously or not.

I totally forgot about this part....

If you go to a school in a semi metropolitan area, girls from remote/smaller towns seem to go buck wild when they get to college. There was a girl in my freshman class from a town no one heard of and throughout the next few years there was allways "stories" that invovled her.

If you live in the dorm, and hook up with someone in your dorm everyone knows your business.

They are just like the girls you know now, only some of them are older. I'm in the military, which isn't college, I know. But, the girls are all the same only older. In some cases.

College girls are so much smarter then High School girls. THe maturity level is definatly up. I can't stand high school girls now. I just wanna reach over and slap em. When I was 19 I tried holding an intelligent discussion with a high school girl and well it just was laughable. Now I've found the vet college girls are even more mature. The newbies of college try to hard to fit in and make an *** clown of themselves 90% of the time. Anyhow Gibby said it best when they all look the same in the dark.

well i have to agree with the freedom aspect. just dont get caught in the moment w/ your pants down w/o proper equipment to 'play the game'

HS is nothing compared to College, its a whole new game, and its so dam awsome.

Maturity level is definatly higher. The possibility of having an actual conversation exists, as having opinions on important topics in college is not looked down upon.

You'll go to a college party someday and find it populated with high school girls, and the difference will be obvious.

Some of the girls are pretty forward looking, much more so than high school. Expect a lot of the cute/young ones to be hooked up with older guys. An important reason to never tell anyone you are a freshman

And pick a major that has some female participation. Aeronautics is a bit...male (about a 1/100 ratio)

Here it is straight! Just like at any other point in your life in college you first spend all your time hanging out with the boys talking about how much you want to get a girlfriend.

Then one day...poof...sparks fly and you are head over heels in love. You go through the initial obsessed/crush phase. Once that is over, however, you use all of your brain cell power to come up with good excuses to convince the new light of your life to give you the Friday night off so you can hang out with the boys again.

Catch 22. Just have fun and don't worry about it too much!!!
