CS mic question

is there anyway to use a mic in CS without having to hold down a button? i just got a cheapo mic and i wanna get my moneys worth .. but i also dont want to have to hold 'k' down everytime i want to talk.. help anyone?

No, you have to hold down the button.

Also you can change the button to anything on the keyboard if you want, just type this in your console...

Bind "Anything on keyboard" +Voicerecord

make sure you have it turned on in your config. I have my voicerecord bound to mouse 4 which is on the thumb. I use a 5 button mouse. also you can write an alias to toggle the voicerecord function. That way you hit one button and it says on till you hit it again. If your interested I can write you an alias that will do the job.

I have my voicerecord button as "C". It's just easier to use, because most of my fingers are on "W", "A", "S", "D" already, so "C" isnt that far away .

get a 5 button microsoft mouse on ebay for like 20 bucks and use it its great for gaming.. i just have my left thumb button work the mic. its sweet

actually, the HL consol is case sensitive so that wouldn't work

it would be:

"bind [key] +voicerecord"

along with admin_ban 30 seconds and admin_kick are cool

actually a lot of people have moved off admin_mod and onto a new mod called "AMX"

It's basically the same thing, but it allows you to run commands from your "say" key.

So you hit "y" to "say" and then use a special key like ";" and then the command to run an admin command.

there's also a lot of cool stuff like Rocket and stuff. you can turn a player into a rocket and he flies up and blows up.c
