how much for this computer?

my friend is selling his computer, this is what comes with it. i wanted to know how much it is worth.

standard ATX case
msi k7t266 Pro2-A motherboard
amx xp 1700
256 ddr pc2100
geforce 2 pro 32mb
20 gb maxtor ata 133 7200 rpm


i wanted to know how much it is worth. is this computer any good? im a bit of a computer noob.

Couple Hundred bucks. You can buy 2 Ghz Dells new for around $550.

Yeah, $200 sounds about right. $250 TOPS.

That is basically the same computer I have. The only differance is probably the case/psu, I have a GF2 Ti instead of a pro, and a bigger HD.

It's fine for Surfing the web and light gaming; Counter-Strike should run well but I wouldn't expect too much out of any game that's more graphics-intensive than the HL engine.

thanks for the quick replies guys. my friend was using this comp as a server for counterstrike but has since abandoned that project. thats really all i want to do with it: play counterstrike, surf the web and listen to tunes. the only problem is i have to buy a cd drive and a monitor. thanks for the help.
