    Internet Problem, Help

Ok, this just started happening 2 days ago. My house is hooked up to one DSL line, its rowdered to like 8 computers. Now everytime my brother or me try and go play counter-strike, or planetside, it dosent connect. When we connect through HSLW all it says on every server is timed out, with PlanetSide we just get stuck on the login page.

We have had no problems before with our system, we have been running in for 8 months. Please Help, my new comp is coming friday and I spent like 150 in new games, I can play any of them.

    Thanks

    "Rowdered" ?

    That's a new one.

What have you changed in between being able to connect, and not connect?

Okay now that you've posted that you laughed at him how about posting HELP like he asked instead of stupid stuff?
Can either of you connect to the internet? Like view webpages and stuff? If not its an connection problem and you need to check your router/switch/hub(hopefully not a hub) to see if you're getting a connection. And if you are getting connection(ie you probably are since you're probably posting from your computer anyway) check and make sure its not behind a firewall that would stop the games from working.

Yeah, Im Stupid, I didnt really care out it was spelled, so I took a go at it.

We found out that if we connect through 56k, we can join servers and such. We think its AOL, but we are not sure. We are buying some new parts tommorow, if they dont work, then we know its AOL.

I wasn't laughing at the fact that you misspelled routered. I was laughing at how you misspelled it. It just looked funny. Hope I didn't hurt your feelings. BTW AOL sucks. Get something else. I have aol satellite because its all I can get. AOhell sucks all the time.

Ditch the GayOL, will most likely solve your problems.

Wish I could, but I cant. Me and my brother used to have 2 seperate cable modems, so the bill was like 50 a month, then my parents had 2 DSL lines, so it was like 100 a month for all 4, they were like that to much, went ahead and did all this crap to the system, so they save 25 bucks a month.

So basically I have 8 comps getting DSL in the house, I get stuck with all these problems, lag.

Here's an idea? Get a good Cable line, or a High Speed DSL line since most are beyond slow. And Get a Router/switch like a Linksys or such and that way your whole house can run efficently off one or two connections. Got my house wired through a Cisco series router and switch with one cable modem and we have NO slowdown whatsoever.

Sean couldn't figure out how to fix it? I guess he's slipping...

Anyway, don't get a Linksys router, I've had two of the wireless 802.11b Linksys routers, and they both broke. Get a Netgear Router (I have the 802.11g wireless version, great if you have a laptop) And ditch GayOHell and get a good DSL line.

Broken Matrix or DM4? Send it to me, I'll fix it, just pay $10 + shipping + parts.

Ditch AOL and get a good line... Then just route it through your house. I personally use a microsoft wireless router. Works pretty good. The netgear wireless is good too.

                      .
