My new computer rocks!!

I love it!
It all started out with a new 2000 mhz proccesor for $89... then my motherboard couldnt take that and so I got a new top of the line asus A7something Edit: A7N8X(I already forgot ... lol ill go find out) with really really really fast bus, and 512 mb of PC2700 ultra super mega omg fast ram, and my old geforce couldnt fit the 1.5 V slot so I got a geforce asylum! So basically I just got a whole new computer. Oh yes, I got a new 80gb harddrive a while back and havent put it in, so now I wiped my old computer out completely by getting rid of the old harddrives, and installed XP on the new 7200 rpm harddrive (fast fast boot time now!). Now my computer is SO FAST and SNAPPY I LOVE IT!! AGH

i would think he's a n00b and mistook the athlon XP 2000+ for a 2000 mhz processor, since he didn't say 2.0ghz which is the way intel rates their processor speeds.

Actually yes its a 1650, but im making it 2000 once I feel like it.

And its a big change for me, I dont care if yours is better And is it really better? Intel computers have a problem in being slower in general performance because the computer isnt BALANCED. Intel usually just gives you raw processor speed and cheaps out on teh other stuff, resulting in an actually slower computer. Think of it as a bunch of rings to form a tunnel... and each ring is bigger depending on how fast it can flow. If everything is big except for the video card, the computer will only go that fast. I do know thats not a perfect example, but you know what I mean. I can tell you right now that my 1650 is MUCH faster, quicker, snappier, than any stock intel 3000 (I play with them all the time). Its so BALANCED lol I love it so much, I want to pet it.

Yeah, I'm in the same club as you!

Last weekend, I just built myself a new computer as well:

AMD Athlon XP 2400
Asus A7V8X-X Mobo
512 MB DDR 2700 RAM
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro with 128 MB(unlocked to perform like a 9700)
Windows XP Pro
And to finish it off, a nice little black case with a window and nice shiney lights...LOL!

I must admit, that thing flies. The only thing I'm not content with is the onboard audio. I need to pick up a new sound card.

Hopefully I'll be set in order to play Half Life 2 and Doom3.

Im siding with falcon here. He wasnt talking about it I suppose, but 2000mhz is the same is 2.0 gigahertz. So what if "intel" uses the shorter term?
