Theres a bunch of ways to stop fsdo. No matter what you do.. make sure you get a slikshot shaft by ND. I prefer ND (new designz) to evil.. but thats me, but either way, you gotta get a slikshot.

tapeworm, wrong. it does nothing to stop fsdo, all it really helps with is dry firing. it was originally intended for use with older impulse that had troubles dry firing, because the bolt would stick forward (bolt stick) and drain all your air thru the valve. this happened as a result of the valve stealing all the solenoids air supply.Originally posted by EsPo

lpr doesn't stop fsdo either. all it does is lower your hammer/ram operating pressure.
VFF & AFF do nothing for fsdo either. they are sort of like an advanced internal tapeworm. they supply the solenoid with a direct air supply thru the vertical adapter, causing less shootdown (if any) and allowing you to dry fire without worrying of bolt stick.
the slikshot is the only real fsdo helper that you listed. it can go either way though, some people install the slikshot and get terrible fsdo, and some people install it and it removes fsdo completely.
quite honestly, the best way to get rid of FSDO is to properly clean, maintain, and tune your impulse. the WAS equalizer supposedly gets completely rid of FSDO, which is good. FSDO isnt that bad, it's only very bad in very few cases. i wouldn't even worry about FSDO until you get an impulse to find out if it even has it or not. most of the time it's unnoticable.Tom_Kaye: well it would have been nippinout

i'm not really too fond of evil stuff for the impulse (except the respirator), and it seems not many people are.
you CAN use the tapeworm and slickshot ram shaft together, they are two totally different parts. the slickshot is just a ram shaft that connects to the hammer and ram housing. it's basically just alot smoother than the stock ram shaft. it slides more freely with less friction.
if i were you, i would get: a trigger/frame, VFF/AFF or if you can tolerate the pain in the butt an LPR can be, get the LPR, a delrin bolt. that's an awesome way to start, then from there you can easily decide what you want/need next after a few times of play. you may elect to go for internals, or you may need to go for a new lowrise feed tube, it's all up to you.Tom_Kaye: well it would have been nippinout
