When I drove for the first time, my dad yelled at me for using 2 feet. Needless to say, I haven't gone near it since with my left.

I use my left foot on the brake to get a quick start off stop lights, but thats all.

I am lefty in a right handed right legged righteyed world...

When I was young, I was forced to learn how to write with my right hand... once I learned I was actually lefty, it was several years too late...


Do you have any idea how hard it was to learn how to drive without putting my left foot on the brake? I truely want all the pedals shifted over so I can use my left leg for gas...

Oh well... I hate the fact that majority rules...

I have always used my left foot on the brake in an automatic. That is how my father drives and when he was teaching me he had me try it to see how it felt, it felt natural and so it stuck. I recently hurt my left foot and had to drive with only my right and it was extremly unnatural and hard to do.
I am now 31 and have never had an accident while I was driving the car.

It is not a dangerous way to drive if you form the right habits, when not on the brake my left foot is on the dead pedal next to it. I do not have my foot resting on the brake or hovering over it.

it's much easier to get a car to drift if oyu have complete control of both the gas and break at the same time.

So far as heel toe goes... yeah that may be what you midgets need to do... but me... Big Toe on the break lil toe on the accelerator. :)

So far as drifting a car.... never needed the breaks for that.... just goose it a bit and blap the rear end hangs right on out there..... oh yeah.. torque.
