    debate

at summer school today me and a few others were having a debate. here it goes. if you and your dog were stranded on an island. you have 2 options "A" eat your dog and survive, or "B" dont eat your dog and starve. which would you choose. if you take option "B" explain why.

    i would eat it.

Well, if it's a good dog then it should be able to hunt for me... So I'd either eat it or make it hunt...

I wouldnt eat the dog. I have to much of a love for dogs to do that, especially if it were MY dog. If it were a decent island, im sure there is SOMETHING else to eat. Of course, when actually in the situation, I would guess that 99% of the people would do something different than what they say they would do.

If it were a cat... I'd steal all the little animals it hunts down and then eat it.

Think i'll give my answer with this story i heard.

Excuse me if this is a bit off, i'm working on memmory here.

An old man and his dog are walking down a sunny path, when the man becomes quite thirsty. He stops at a pond on the side of the road and lets his dog drink out of his hands, then takes some water for himself.
As they walk along the road they see a man next to a nice gated pickett fence, planting some flowers.
              "Hello" says the man.
"Hello, this is the gate to heaven. You're welcome to come in." replied the gardener.
"May my dog come with me?" asked the man.
"sorry, no dogs allowed." replied the gardener.
The man tipped his hat and continued to walk down the path.

After a short while he came upon another gated pickett fence, with another man tending the property.
"Hello, this is the gate to heaven." said the man.
"May me and my dog pass through?" the man asked.
              "Why of course!" he replied.
As the old man walked in he turned and asked, "if this is heaven, what was the other gate, and who was the other man?"
the man let out a slight grin as he turned back and tended the property.

My truck is louder than yours. A lot louder.

I wouldn't. I'd look around for food, find some fish, anything but the dog.

it wouldnt matter if you did or didn't. if you did, you might live for a few more days but then still die.

...and failing that, you'd get worms from the dog and die...unless you cooked it I guess.

i would not eat the dog

dogs have better enstinks (sp) then us humans so i guess the dog would go find something to eat before we would so i would just do what ever the dog would do.
