i'd say a degree from devry is more likely to get you hired. not comparing quality of their programs or anything because i have no idea but simply through name recognition. think about it from the perspective of someone reading your resume. more people will recognize the name devry than any other technical school. compared to a regular school my dad tells me that the IT guys at his company say that the tech school graduates are more "on the ball" than the traditional college students and therefore they would be more likely to hire someone from a technical school in the future. however i don't know if this is a general thing or just happens to be the case where my dad works.

        I agree...

Even though I went to ITT the guys I know that went to DeVry's program have it better. I think their coverage of material and such is way better.

I went to DeVry for 3 years in the CIS program and my brother went to ITT under the EET program. All programs are considered a 4 year program, even though it only takes 3 years. The reason it takes 3 years is that the course load is overloaded and that that there are three reagular sessions a year. In the EET field, DeVry classes has more theory while ITT has more hands on skills. While I went there, most of my classes were mainframe and DOS oriented. But as the years went by, we got some windows oriented classes but were minimal. The other classes behind me got newer classes. But I must say that since more than half my class continually scored above the average test scores forcing the school to reinstate their original harder curriculum. I graduated in spring 96 with Magna Cumm Laude honors. I actually did better than in high school. Oh yeah, Lady Attitude(Kristen) of Team Lady T&A graduated with me.

                  I did graduate...

But I think the program back in the late 80's was a bit easy. I'm sure the program now is a little tougher.

I graduated from DeVry in 1990 in their Telecommunications Mgmt program. Over the three years that I was there we went from a class size of about 110 to a graduating class of about 30. I don't know if it was better than ITT but I know that employers that I interviewed with had nothing but praises for DeVry grads. That degree definately gets you in the door.

Btw, I met my wife there too!

                      Honestly,

I am not a big fan of tech schools if you are considering the traditional route of education.

So I think the question is whether or not you want a techinical degree or a bs/ba from a UNIV.

Dont be fooled into thinking that every class transfers. It may transfer but not into YOUR program.
