It all adds up.....I must be a nerd!

My buddy and I went and played paintball yesterday. Our wives went on a casino trip/wine tasting tour with a big group. Afterwards we all went to dinner where they were relating stories of winning at craps, playing blackjack, and deciding which wine to buy.

Meanwhile I was relating stories about teaming up with a 12 year old kid and assualting a fort. I cannot escape the conclusion that I must be the ultimate nerd! I'd ask you guys for help but somehow I think that would be like a lush asking a drunk for advice on how to get sober....

I'd say your far from ultimate. If you were to talk about doing magic cards or beating everyone at dungeons and dragons, or watching anime, or computers, or star trek, etc. Then you might have a shot for the ultimate nerd.

LOL, that's great. Hehe, teaming up with 12 year olds, hehe. You'd make one hell of a dad.

Used to play roleplaying when I was younger and have a computer engineering degree. Does that bring me closer to winning the prize?

The 12 year old part was pretty funny really. A group of us went to assault the enemy base and I noticed that this kid that was with us was the most aggressive. He was always in the lead bunkers. Eventually we come to the enemy base and there is no one in it (they were all attacking a neutral fort that we both teams were supposed to try and hold for as long as possible. So the kid and I take as many artifacts (points for the team) as we can carry and scurry back to our base.

On our way back we run into some players and start a discussion with them. Suddenly my teammate's eyes get really wide and he levels his marker at them and orders them to surrender. We had walked up and started talking to members of the opposing team! They all surrender.

After delivering the artifacts the kid suggests that we go and try and take the neutral fort. Remember that I am 32 and this kid is around 12. I am now convinced, however, that this kid is either invincible or incredibly lucky so I am totally following his lead. He leads the way towards the fort and we are just ambling along laughing and bragging about our many accomplishments. Not crouching. Not even checking for opposing players. Needless to say we walked right into an ambush and each took about seven balls. The kids luck had run out!

Wait I'm confused... Are you trying to convince yourself that you are a nerd, or what?

The fact that yo went outside proves that your not a nerd. Nerds don't go outside. They stay inside, play everquest, argue via message board about which proccessor or card or memory, ect, ect. is better, and eat cheetos/ twinkies/ect all day.
