512 MB of PC3200 DDR
Sapphire Radeon 9500 PRO
on-board sound from MCP-T on a Asus A7N8X deluxe

lite-on 52x34x52 CD-RW
housed in a Coolermaster ATC 201-SX

mango: haha i don't know what to buy first. i've been playing all my older games like max payne and jedi outcast. i was playing those on my brother's computer which was essentially the same as mine but with a 400MHz processor. the difference between barely running with everything turned down to the minimum and flying with everything turned up is mind boggling. just for fun when i get home i'm going to benchmark my computers. lol. this is gonna be ridiculous.

any suggestions on games everybody? i was thinking morrowind but i don't have the time for it. what else is gonna blow my mind after all these years of not being able to play?

Those white drives look dork in the silver case. I popped my drive faces off and spray painted them silver and they look sweet.

Unreal Tournament 2003's visuals will make you have to put on a new pair of pants. Otherwise, there is nothing new worth playing, until Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 come out that is.

I know how you feel about the crappy computer too, I went from a 200 mhz Pentium (the original one) with like 32 MB of Ram to a p4 2.53 ghz 533 mhz fsb, geforce 4 ti4200 and it was awesome. I wasn't able to play any games that came out after 1997.

actually i haven't been able to play counterstrike since beta 6 or 7. i think it was the hi-res models that killed my computer. so i'm kinda curious to see what it looks like now.
