Just saw Terminator 3

its funny how the paintball gun looks exactly like an airsoft gun and has no place to keep the paintballs...and i coulda sworn that i saw the new terminators butt when she was walking around naked...and ya know the maxim 100 hottest women? they shoulda done the 200 just cuz thats a better numer

Saw it the night it came out. With my friends and I being HUGE Terminator fans, we were eagerly anticipating this movie all summer long...when we saw the preview for it, we just kinda looked at each other and when "ohhhhh yeah!!"

Anyhow, we saw it at the 9:50 showing, and there were 4 in our group. I would have liked to say that this movie did justice as the 3rd in the series, especial following the quintessential action movie, Terminator 2, but it didn't, at least not for me. Without revealing much of the detail about the movie for those who haven't seen it, here's why:

I think the movie as a whole was very choppy...it really didn't go clearly from scene to scene. Also, many scenes felt like they were never really finished (policeman pulling over the T-X?) I think the whole skynet thing was played down too much...they talked about it in the beginning, but it just felt like a secondary plot point in the movie. They copied/played off of WAY WAY WAY too many scenes from Terminator 2, and ONLY Terminator 2. Something important to note is that they took almost NOTHING from the first Terminator, purely because it didn't have the $$$ draw and popularity that T-2 had...if they did have to rip stuff off, they could have taken some stuff from the first one as well. About them taking stuff from T-2...I felt it kinda took away from T-3...if you look at the original Terminator and T-2, they share the same plot and progress equally, but each scene in each movie is in itself defining and unique...where as T-3 follows waaaay too closely to the scenes in T-2...the whole sunglasses and clothes thing...the girl when she gets the car (weak opening line, too) Also, he ends up w/ a shotgun like in T-2, right? Hmmm...how does he get it in T-3?

The jokes were funny, but some were out of place...and most of the jokes were poking fun at T-2, which seems kinda funny at first, but if hadn't previously seen T-2, you wouldn't get 2/3rds off all the jokes, which doesn't help the movie stand on its own. Terminator had that ability, and definitely T-2, even if you didn't see the first one. But if you hadn't seen any previous Terminator movies, you'd be missing so much in T-3. Before anyone goes to see T-3, I highly reccomend at least seeing T-2, that way you will get so much more out of T-3.

All the above was my opinion after seeing it.

All things considered, it was a great movie to see, a lot of fun, and feel that I got my money's worth. I had been looking forward to it for a long time, and there was no way I wasn't going to see it:) It fell short of my expectations, but was still a great movie, and if action is your thing, you would definitely dig it:) So hurry up and go see it, and tell me what you think about it:)

Ya, but the only reason he chose the shotgun was because of T-2. BTW, I finally saw it.

I saw it for free.. Went to pay. No one there. Waited. Waited. Yelled. No one came. Walked in, watched it :)


Good movie! Pretty funny one liners, good action, lived up to T-2. Interesting plot development.

Very few weapons have been shown to be particularly effective against the terminators. Among these are shotguns, and grenade/rocket launchers. Which would you look for at a bar?

David makes a really good point. Because she did the liquid metal thing (um, which was so obviously taken from the last movie, although I can't argue the logic behind it) the T-101 knew what gun to get.
